Local wireless design extends list of applications

The Rlog communication device from Clever Devices and Designs (CDD) has been deployed in a number of applications and the list continues to grow. The latest application of the device is in the cash-in-transit arena. Unique locks, safes and boxes managing cash and the surrounding security send the information in realtime to the cash-in-transit backend. Time delay lock units have a unique system that is designed specifically for the banking environment and its specific requirements, whereby the safe and the Rlog have been integrated to create a fail-safe communication link. The Rlog server gives visibility to end users, enabling them to manage field units and ultimately improving their service departments and customer satisfaction levels.
Rlog is designed to make CDD’s customers’ lives easier by removing the need to travel great distances to download information from remote devices. This virtual RS232 cable makes it possible to retrieve information from distant sites remotely. All that is required for the system to work is an Rlog unit at the remote device, another unit in the office and a GSM signal.
