Littelfuse has introduced the 440 series surface mount 1206-size fuse with high I²t and excellent electrical stability and reliability.
With its fast response characteristic and operating temperature capability up to 150°C, the fuses protect AC/DC circuits of electronic appliances from over-current conditions even in high operating temperatures. The 440 series can withstand inrush current (I²t) up to 12,95 A²s (8 A current rating) for eliminating nuisance fuse opening during momentary overload conditions. The series has a maximum fault current rating (interrupt rating) of 50 A at the rated voltage and is 100% lead-free, halide-free and compliant to RoHS requirements.
The 440 Series has UL and CSA agency approvals and has a broad line of current ratings from 1,75 A to 8 A (32 V a.c./32 V d.c.) to meet different application needs. Current ratings from 250 mA to 1,5 A will be introduced in the second phase of the launch.
