EVS puts faith in Truth

3 March 2010 News

EVS, a supplier of solder recovery systems, has appointed Truth Electronic Manufacturing as its distributor in South Africa.

EVS’s series of units – 1000, 7000 and 9000 – have a capacity range of 5–20 kg to cover any wave solder machine needs. Each model has a lead and lead-free version. Systems such as the EVS 7000 have been developed in response to industry needs and aim to both reduce dross off-site and reduce de-drossing time.

“EVS International fits well into Truth’s product range and the new collaboration will be a positive step forward in expanding the company,” said Truth Electronic Manufacturing’s Terence Ruthnam. “Our customers will be very interested in EVS’s fast ROI and also the benefits of allowing them to recycle their solder waste on site and help with their environmental improvements. I believe the range of solder recovery systems from EVS will be well received by customers and I am looking forward to a prosperous alliance with them.”

Simon G. Norman, director of international sales at EVS comments, “Terence Ruthnam is experienced and highly respected in the electronics industry in South Africa. We are very pleased to enter this collaboration with Truth Electronic Manufacturing to significantly expand our product range in South Africa.”

EVS will be showing its EVS 7000 on Truth’s stand F1/E8 at National Electronics Week SA 2010 on 9 and 10 March at the Sandton Exhibition Centre.
