Mean Well has introduced a new family of DIN-rail power supplies suitable for applications such as industrial control systems, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation, electromechanical systems and marine installations.The single-phase power supplies of the WDR-120 range feature a wide input range of 180 to 550 V a.c. The AC/DC units can be used in general power systems with single-phase 230 V a.c. input or can capture one phase from the 330–550 V a.c. three-phase power system.
The WDR-120 can provide 120 W continuously up to 60°C using only free air convection, or operate at 70°C ambient temperature by employing suitable power derating. The units exhibit efficiency up to 92% and take up just 40 mm of DIN rail space. Standard functions include DC OK relay contact and power-on LED indicator, as well as protection for short circuit, overload, over-voltage, and over-temperature. The WDR-120 series complies with UL/CUL/CE safety standards and also meets the EN61000-6-2 EMC immunity requirements for heavy industrial applications.
