New from Avago is a compact incremental magnetic encoder for speed detection, knob control and rotary encoder applications.
The AEAT-601B, which is designed in a protective plastic housing for durability and high-temperature performance, is easy to install and provides a resolution of 256 cycles per revolution (CPR).
The encoder features an integrated solution for angular detection within a complete rotation of 360°. The use of magnetic technology for motion control and sensing activities enables non-contact operation free from mechanical wear and tear. Moreover, this device has three-channel output, enabling an index channel for every complete 360° full rotation.
The AEAT-601B provides designers with a closed loop feedback system to enable the device to provide more precise readings for their position control applications, which results in better motor position control. It is well suited for use in systems such as motor and valve control, pan and tilt for security cameras and thread winding machines.
