Random access component dispenser

Speedprint Technology has introduced its new SP50 random access component dispenser.

Speedprint claims the SP50 dramatically increases throughput and virtually eliminates assembly errors by automatically presenting the operator with the required component. A key feature of the SP50 is the option to drive the dispenser in conjunction with Rapidcom, a Windows-based PC interface software package. With its 'graphical user interface' the operator is guided through every step of the assembly process. Any sequence of bins can be programmed through Rapidcom, thereby realising the benefits provided by the SP50's high-speed random access dispensing.

With a unique 'load' function, batch changeover times are minimised, facilitating the speedy removal and replacement of bins and maximising production uptime. Although designed primarily for conventional PCB assembly, the versatile nature of the SP50 lends itself equally to mechanical assembly tasks as well as rework, repair and kitting applications.
