Samtec provides design and development services for application-specific products (ASPs), as well as its standard offering.
Whether an application requires simple modifications to a standard catalogued product or a completely custom engineered design, Samtec has the expertise to meet custom requirements. Design and development of ASPs is timely and cost-effective with Samtec’s in-house manufacturing, testing and development capabilities (including stereolithography, mould design and fabrication, and SMT lab), quick-turn samples and prototypes, and signal integrity expertise.
For applications where a standard product is close, but not exactly what is needed, express modifications can be quickly and economically achieved. Everything from pin and body modifications to special cables and platings are possible. Express modifications offer short lead-times, quick-turn prototype samples, and no nonrecurring engineering charges, tooling charges or minimum order quantities.
