KVM extension kit

9 June 2010 Interconnection

TrendNET’s sturdy KVM extension kit extends keyboard, video and mouse controls for distances of up to 150 metres to eliminate the time it takes to walk to the networking room by extending KVM controls to the user’s office. The extension kit can be connected to a TRENDnet KVM switch to control multiple servers from a remote location.

The convenient dials on the front of the remote console unit (receiver unit) can be used to adjust gain (resolution adjustment) and equalisation (contrast correction). Hot-key commands can be input to control local and remote console stations. The remote console unit (receiver unit) supports PS/2 keyboard and mouse devices and monitors with a VGA port. The local console unit (transmitter unit) supports USB, PS/2 and VGA connections.

The TK-EX3 supports video resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels at distances up to 100 metres and connects transmitter to receiver with an Ethernet cable of type Cat. 5, Cat. 5e or Cat. 6. It supports Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and requires no driver or software installation.
