Z-Communications has released a new RoHS compliant fixed frequency synthesiser model in S-band. The SFS3900A-LF operates at 3900 MHz and features a typical phase noise of
-88 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and typical sideband spurs of
-65 dBc. It is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3 dBm with a VCO voltage supply of 5 V d.c. while drawing 33 mA and a phase-locked loop voltage of 3 V d.c. while drawing 15 mA over the temperature range of -40° to 85°C. This synthesiser features typical second harmonic suppression of -20 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s PLL-V12N package measuring 15,24 x 15,24 x 3,3 mm. Target applications include satellite communication and microwave radio applications that require low phase noise performance.
