SMT crystal resonator

4 August 2010 Electronics Technology

AVX has developed a highly reliable surface mount crystal resonator that provides a nominal frequency of 32,768 kHz in a small ceramic package of 3,2 x 1,5 mm and a profile of only 0,8 mm. Designated ST3215SB, the reflow compatible tuning fork crystal resonator has a frequency tolerance of ±20 ppm, a maximum ESR of 70 kΩ and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

Suitable for consumer and mobile equipment applications, the resonators are lead free and RoHS compliant. Standard capacitance ranges are 9 pF to 12,5 pF and low capacitance versions – 7 pF or less – are available on request.
