Sage Instruments has rolled out the UCTT 8901, a portable test instrument for cellular base station deployment and troubleshooting.
The device combines a laboratory quality FFT spectrum analyser, an antenna tester and fully integrated backhaul test capabilities for E1/T1, Ethernet (10/100/1000) and OC-X. In addition, the unit provides in-depth demodulation and monitoring capabilities for all 2G, 3G and 4G technologies.
With its hybrid graphical user interface combining both hard keys and soft keys, the UCTT provides ease of use for navigation and test control. Its all-weather, rugged design will help operators deploy and troubleshoot their networks under the worst weather conditions. Technologies covered are AMPS, TDMA IS-136, CDMA IS-95, CDMA 2000, GSM, EDGE, GPRS, W-CDMA/HSDPA, WiMax and LTE. Powerful software radio technology helps operators accurately assess wireless service performance and quickly isolate problems with transmission, modulation quality and synchronisation.
