Features of LiFePO4 batteries include long cycle life: more than 2000 cycles discharge at 1 C; superior safety; extraordinary charge and discharge characteristics; high power: 10 C pulse current can be realised; and environmentally friendly: raw materials contain no hazardous chemicals, therefore no pollution to the environment.
Typical applications are lightweight electric vehicles such as electric bicycles, scooters, flat carriers, forklift trucks, cleaning trolleys and wheelchairs; energy storage systems for solar energy and wind power; power tools including electric drills, sawing machines and lawn mowers; uninterrupted power supply for emergency and caution lights, and mining lamps; and heavyweight electric vehicles such as buses, taxis, tourist cars and hybrid vehicles.
