APC has announced availability of its Symmetra PX 96 kW uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system. The platform is scalable in power, runtime and power distribution from 32 kW to 96 kW, is modular and features a flexible power distribution system designed to maximise uptime.
The Symmetra PX features integrated Modular Power Distribution and its hot-swappable power distribution enables the system to evaluate and respond to high availability requirements without the need for data centre down time. The architecture of the system enables IT managers to right-size power and runtime based on constantly changing power demands, eliminating the need to predict future rack power requirements.
As an integral part of the InfraStruXure architecture, the Symmetra PX offers simplified designs that are highly manageable from operation through expansion. Its self-diagnostic capabilities and standardised modules mitigate the risk of human error, resulting in increased overall data centre and server room reliability. The system is contained within two 600 mm frames and features increased efficiency, redundancy and extended life of batteries.
