Agilent Technologies has introduced the 33521A 1-channel and 33522A 2-channel function/arbitrary waveform generators, providing what the manufacturer claims is the lowest total harmonic distortion and jitter in their class.
The generators’ large graphical display allows for simultaneous parameter setup, signal viewing and editing. The generators also offer precise functions and true point-by-point arbitrary waveforms that are alias-protected for enhanced accuracy.
The devices feature 30 MHz sine, square and pulse waveform bandwidth to cover a wide range of applications. They exhibit less than 40 ps jitter and total harmonic distortion of 0,04% to provide excellent signal fidelity, and a 250 MSps, 16-bit sampling rate for higher time-resolution arbitrary waveforms. The generators have USB and LAN (LXI-C) interfaces for easy connectivity; and a TCXO time base (standard) and OCXO (optional) for high stability. A built-in Web page allows remote operation of the instrument from any browser.
