Samtec’s IsoRate isolated transmission line jacks and plugs (IJ5 and IP5 series) are now available in a 50 Ω system on 4 mm centreline. The board-to-board system provides 70 dB isolation at 7,6 GHz.

The strips are available in single- or double-row with 1, 2, 4, 6 or 8 rugged Edge Rate contacts per row. Guide posts for blind mating applications are also available. A 75 Ω system (IJ7 & IP7 series) is currently in design.

The 50 Ω IsoRate cable assembly (IJ5C series) provides 60 dB isolation at 3,1 GHz and is available in a single-row design with #26 AWG, RG 316 coax cable. The 4 mm pitch system mates with IsoRate connector strip plugs (IP5 series) and is available either as a single channel discrete wire assembly or as a ganged 2, 4, 6, or 8 pin assembly for consolidated signal applications. A positive latching system increases unmating force, making it suitable for rugged applications.
