Hengstler has introduced a hollow shaft encoder whose robust design incorporates a blocked bearing assembly for high maximum bearing load. It exhibits high shock and vibration resistance and can be used on hollow shafts with diameters of up to 16 mm at a 63 mm enclosure diameter.
The RI 64 can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 100°C and features an insulated shaft to protect against ripple currents. The unit has a high EMC resistance of up to 2 kV and incorporates a high-resolution, unbreakable code disc with up to 5000 increments. Protected to Class IP67, the encoder is compatible with common frequency converter types.
