Test & Measurement
Test and Measurement Instruments has been appointed as an official FLIR distributor in South Africa for the range of FLIR thermal imaging cameras.
The newest product release – the E-Series – is ideal for predictive maintenance inspections. These small and lightweight cameras are designed for those needing high resolution with many features and for whom the findings and documentation are very important. The instruments have LCD touch screens with resolutions of up to 320 x 240 pixels. Other features include the use of a laser pointer, LED light and a unique MeterLink method of interacting via Bluetooth with accompanying instruments like clamp meters for simultaneously displaying current for later analysis and reports, after the event is recorded. Images are recorded in standard JPEG format onto the supplied memory card.
User control is not only facilitated by the touch screen but also by easily accessible control buttons. A technique called Thermal Fusion merges visual and infrared images to aid analysis, while picture-in-picture functionality makes it easy to locate areas of interest. Text comments can be made from a pre-defined list or by using the touch screen. A headset can also be connected to make voice annotations. A 3 Megapixel visible light camera assists observation and inspection.
