New from Power-One are two additional members in the PFE series of AC-DC front-end power supplies – the PFE600 and PFE850. They provide a 12 V d.c. output with 5 V or 3,3 V pin-selectable standby. Exceeding CSCI Platinum targets means that the units’ high efficiency and low power dissipation make them among the greenest power solutions available. The power supplies, along with the previously released PFE1100, can be used in data centres, servers and storage equipment. With power levels of 600 W, 850 W and 1100 W, all in the same slim 54 mm width package, the Power-One PFE series offers flexibility and scalability.
The PFE series features highly accurate real-time monitoring of input and output parameters, voltages, currents, temperatures and true power readings. This enables data centre managers to optimise server usage to reduce load power, further increasing the energy gains beyond those of the power supply itself.
