Sealed pushbuttons

8 June 2011 Switches, Relays & Keypads

Marquardt’s existing ‘1683’ series of pushbuttons now offers IP67/67 protection against water and dust, thanks to a special rubber bellow. The sealing lip on the button side of the rubber bellow keeps out water and dust by sealing the cutout. The inside of the switch is protected through clamping of the rubber bellow between the cap and basis actuator to prevent the user against electrical shock as well as the switching system against failure.

The switches boast high endurance with a minimum of 100 000 mechanical and 50 000 electrical switch operations under full load. They are available in illuminated, non illuminated, single-pole or double-pole as well as momentary versions and come in a range of different colours. A spectrum of possible electrical ratings is available, from low voltage with gold contacts to motor currents with silver contacts.
