Mean Well has added 320 W models to its family of power supplies for LED lighting applications. Featuring 90–305 V a.c. input range, the HLG-320H series not only works for general 115 V a.c. or 230 V a.c. mains input, but can also be operated from 277 V a.c. input in North America.
The units have five options (A, B, C, D and standard) boasting different functions. For A/C type designs, users can adjust the DC output voltage range from 90% to 110% and current range from 50% to 100% by removing the rubber stopper on the cover; the B type equips a three-in-one dimming function (1–10 V d.c., PWM, resistance); and the D type (optional) has a multiple stage timer dimming function that can be customised on request; while the standard type has basic features without voltage and current adjustment functions.
With LLC topology and synchronous rectifier technology, the HLG-320H series has efficiency up to 95% and can be cooled by free air convection from -40°C to +70°C ambient temperature that meets the requirements of outdoor installation. In order to allow operation in harsh outdoor environments, an aluminium case and stainless screws are used in the units’ design. Standard functions include protections for short circuit, over-voltage, overload and over-temperature.
The power supplies are suitable for LED street lighting, LED high-bay lighting, outdoor electronic display, LED decorative lighting, indoor/outdoor LED lighting etc. They are also good solutions for general applications in outdoor environment with high dust and moisture, such as outdoor mechanical or electrical equipments, telecommunication base stations and so forth. They comply with global certificates per UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE including UL8750, EN61347-1 and EN61347-2-13 lighting related regulations.
