Component mounter

12 October 2011 Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services

JUKI has developed a new flexible, compact mounter for the placement of a wide range of components. The JX-200 is an entry level placement machine for those considering replacement of a manual placement process with an automated system.

The machine is based on the existing JX-100 frame and features vision recognition as standard, in addition to JUKI original laser recognition. The JX-200 places anything from chip components to small fine-pitch ICs or odd shaped components of up to 33,5 mm². Its PWB size is 410 x 250 mm as standard and it features maximum 800 x 250 mm for LED production.

The mounter features a touch panel interface for operators unaccustomed with programming of surface mount equipment. It achieves placement speeds up 13 900 cph per IPC 9850 standard. IC components can be placed at up to 4400 cph.
