Comtest Technologies, accredited southern African partner to power and energy measurement company Radian Research, has announced the local introduction of Radian’s RB-10 Bantam Lite – the first in a new generation of portable field meter test solutions.
The Bantam line of portable test solutions is designed for accurate, fast closed-link testing of all single – and poly-phase energy meters. The Bantam Lite combines reliability and advanced test capabilities in an instrument weighing less than 14 kg. Equipped with Radian’s RD-20 or RD-21 solid-state reference standard, it provides the accuracy and traceability required to meet the increasing test demands of today’s electricity metering.
The Bantam’s handheld controller automates testing, allowing fast, accurate test and data storage. Bantam’s ability to fully test meters on-site reduces meter expense in maintained inventory by utilities, allowing the meter to remain in service and not returned to the shop for testing.
