Sinetech gains new solar controller agency
22 February 2012
News
Sinetech has been appointed as a distributor of Morningstar solar controllers for southern Africa. Sinetech has for 15 years been involved in the provision of solar power solutions in South Africa, for small domestic applications, medium sized warehouse/factory roof top installations, as well as up to 75 MW solar parks for the IPPs (independent power producers).
The new range offers solar controllers for very small solar installations starting at 5 A, supporting either 1 x 80 W or 2 x 40 W solar panels, all the way up to fairly large solar installations of 60 A or multiples thereof. The smaller units are available in pulse width modulation (PWM) technology and are equipped with many useful features. The larger controller systems are either available in PWM format or in a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) version.
Morningstar’s SHS solar controller range was designed to meet the economic needs of rural developing markets, and is well suited to the tough African environmental conditions.
