TüV Product Service adds EMV Level 2 testing for smartcard devices

TüV Product Service, one of the world's foremost test and certification providers, has gained approval from Europay to run all EMV Co Level 2 test cases at its UK laboratory in Fareham, Hampshire - formal accreditation due shortly.

The new service will enable manufacturers of smartcard devices to have their products tested in the UK against the harmonised debit/credit EMV standards supported by Europay, Mastercard and VISA.

TüV Product Service is the sole supplier of Mondex type approval of electronic devices worldwide with accredited laboratories in the UK and Japan.

TüV Product Service is a third party test and certification body specialising in high technology products. As a nonmanufacturer, it can offer an unbiased and technically competent service for a very wide range of subsystems and systems, including established technologies and the newest mobile phone and Bluetooth systems.
