TE Connectivity’s SOLARLOK male and female cable couplers are designed for high voltage and high current-carrying capacity in addition to the well established IP67 sealing requirement in the photovoltaic (PV) industry.
Mating safety is provided by polarity keyed housings, fully shrouded high cycle life contacts and a squeeze-to-release connection system. In addition, fulfilment of worldwide standards for PV connection systems complements the robust product specification.
SOLARLOK connectors reduce labour time with plug-and-play interconnection of modules, and balance of system components such as combiner boxes, DC disconnects and inverters. Designed with a simple wire crimp, these latching connectors accommodate a wide range of wire sizes for a low applied cost.
The connectors are approved for field termination and accommodate PV cable from #14 to #10 AWG and outer diameter from 4,5 to 8,0 mm. They provide current carrying capacity up to 25 A (TÜV) and 20 A (UL) in operating temperatures of -40°C to 110°C.
