Linear Technology introduced the LTC2758, a dual, 18-bit, current output digital-to-analog converter (DAC). It features ±1 LSB (max) INL and DNL over temperature, fast settling of 2,1 μs and low 0,4 nV·s (3 V), 2 nV·s (5 V) glitch impulse, making it possible to produce high-frequency, low-noise output waveforms. The device’s SoftSpan feature is capable of outputting six unique unipolar and bipolar output ranges up to ±10 V. The LTC2758 communicates via a 3-wire bidirectional input/output SPI serial interface that enables read-back of any internal register, as well as the DAC output span setting. Voltage-controlled offset and gain adjustment pins enable users to null system offset, gain error or reference errors.
