The new MBC250 from Power-One is an open-frame 250 W AC-DC power supply designed for applications in the medical industry.
The IEC60601 3rd Edition approved power supply has a compact 7,5 x 12,5 cm package, and provides 250 W of output power with up to 90% efficiency at 230 V a.c. With approval to Means of Patient Protection (MOPP), the MBC250 is suitable for use in body floating (BF) applications wherein equipment may come in direct contact with the patient, such as blood pressure monitors or ultrasound equipment. While ideally suited to medical, the power supply can also be utilised in other high-isolation or low-leakage applications.
The power supply has a universal 90 to 264 V a.c. input range with active power factor correction, has a low 1U height and provides a single 12 V, 24 V or 48 V output.
