High-density circular connectors

Fischer Connectors’ MiniMax series is designed to increase the performance of rugged devices, handling more mixed signal and power connections, while saving space, weight and costs.

The range is particularly suited for ruggedised devices designed for handheld or body-worn applications for patient or soldier, instrumentation and test equipment.

MiniMax houses a combination of 20 signal contacts (0,5 A) and four power contacts (5 A) in one single connector, providing three times more pins compared with a standard Fischer connector of similar size. The receptacle has a maximum diameter of 11,9 mm, total length of 12,5 mm and takes up 1 mm inside the end device.

The connectors’ ergonomic design and compactness make it convenient to manipulate with one hand only, even with gloves. It is equipped with durable keying as well as visual colour coding to avoid misconnection and improve end-user safety. It also incorporates a reliable and user-friendly push-pull locking or quick-release system.

MiniMax is IP68 rated, even unmated, which makes it well suited for underwater applications even in case of accidental disconnection. It is also waterproof down to 120 m for full 24-hour submersion. To ease integration, plugs are pre-cabled and overmoulded and receptacles are pre-wired. Soft sealing caps are also available to protect connectors in the field.
