The TLE 4966-2K/-3K series from Infineon relies on two Hall-effect sensors for highly accurate applications. An integrated active compensation circuit and chopper techniques are used to realise precise magnetic switching points and high temperature stability. Two digital outputs provide direction information, calculated internally, and a speed signal.
Active error compensation reduces the effects of mechanical stress. An internal threshold generator and a comparator are used to generate highly accurate magnetic switching points. The devices can operate from an unregulated power supply with voltages of 2,7 V to 24 V, and incorporate reverse battery protection up to -18 V.
Applications include automotive and industrial systems, BLDC motor controls, position detectors and index counters.
