Midrand-based Green Cubed Energy has developed a range of low-cost, high-quality power supplies for use in laboratories, industrial and teaching institutions. The units have been designed to take up minimal bench space and may be stacked when more units are needed.
There are currently four models, the most popular being the 30 V/3 A variant. This unit has a dual LED display, full voltage and current control, reverse polarity protection in the case of battery charging, and full thermal protection. Quiet fans are used which will only come into operation when the duty cycle of 80% is exceeded.
Dual 30 V/3 A, 30 V/10 A and 60 V/5 A units are available and are designed in the same format but with a slightly higher case size. The company offers a two-year warranty on its products and service turnaround time is usually 48 hours. Typically, these units can be supplied from stock.
