Bourns has announced the release of four new series of high-voltage gas discharge tubes (GDTs). The 2-electrode parts target industrial applications and are offered with DC breakdown voltages ranging from 800 to 6000 V. They are offered in miniature surface mount, miniature axial and standard axial leaded packages.
The 2087-xxx-SM and 2089-xxx-X series have a maximum 8/20 μs surge rating of 3 kA, while the 2093-xxx-SM and 2095-xxx-X series have surge ratings of 5 and 5/8 kA respectively. Applications include air conditioning, gas boilers, surge protection devices (SPDs), submersible pumps and power supplies.
Each of the series is RoHS compliant and UL recognised.
