Handheld test instruments for industrial use

18 July 2001 Test & Measurement

Fluke's ScopeMeter 123 is the rugged solution for industrial troubleshooting and installation applications. It is a truly integrated test tool, with oscilloscope, multimeter and 'paperless' recorder in one affordable easy-to-use instrument, says manufacturer Fluke. It is suited for troubleshooting problems in machinery, instrumentation, control and power systems.

Key features:

* A dual-input 20 MHz digital oscilloscope.

* Two 5000 counts true-RMS digital multimeters.

* A dual-input TrendPlot recorder.

* Connect-and-View trigger simplicity for hands-off operation.

* Shielded test leads for oscilloscope, resistance and continuity measurements.

* Up to five hours battery operation.

* Optically isolated RS232 interface.

* Rugged, compact case.

All inputs are protected to EN61010-1, Cat III 600 V. UL and CSA listed.

The Fluke 43 Power Quality Analyser combines the most useful capabilities of a power quality analyser, scope and multimeter in a single easy-to-use instrument.

It measures voltage, current and power harmonics (up to 51st harmonic). It can continuously measure volts and amps on a cycle-by-cycle basis for up to 16 days. Total harmonic distortion (THD) and phase angle of individual harmonics is measurable. The use of cursors allows time and date of sags and swells to be determined.

The instrument also measures watts, power factors, displacement power factor, VA and VAR. It records voltage transients and waveform distortion and can catch and save up to 40 transients.

The Fluke 43 measures 232 x 115 x 50 mm and weighs 1,1 kg.
