OSI is offering a series of Watt transducers utilising Hall-effect multipliers to provide continuous multiplications of voltage and current to accurately measure real power delivered to a load. The units feature high accuracy, regardless of variations in voltage, current, power factor or load.
The transducer’s output is proportional to true power delivered to a load. Accuracy is maintained when supplied with internal or external current transducers which are factory calibrated by OSI. The device is designed for use with SCR controls, chopped waveforms or where harmonic components exist.
Standard outputs provide signals for interface with meters, recorders or data acquisition equipment. The units have been widely used in applications with chopped waveforms or distorted waveforms where they have advantages over pulse-width modulated units. They offer full-scale current up to 1000 A/600 V single-phase, three-phase, 3- or 4-wire.
