Multipurpose portable telecoms test instrument

The NetTest Lite 3000E is a handheld, battery-powered, multipurpose telecom- munications test instrument for 2048 Kbps PCM systems. The addition of options converts the LITE 3000E from a full-featured transmission-line-quality tester into an advanced signalling analyser. NetTest now offers further enhancements on its LITE 3000E, extending the versatility and ease-of-use of the instrument.

Most important is the release of the ISDN basic rate interface option, which supports testing of the S, T and U interfaces of an ISDN basic rate. Equipped with this option, the easily transportable instrument can test the access network basic rate interface (BRI) and 2 Mbps primary rate interfaces (PRI). When also equipped with the data interface measurement option the instrument covers a unique range of testing requirements.

Typical applications of the new option are installation and connectivity testing, rapid in-service diagnostics and troubleshooting, ISDN basic rate interface performance and traffic channel access.
