Receiving praise and recognition from Poland's Ministry of Communications and industry peers, Tektronix was awarded a Gold Medal for its advanced network monitoring system at the 2001 International Telecommunication Show (ITS) recently held in Lodz, Poland.
The Intertelecom Gold Medal, first awarded in 1994 to innovative products presented by ITS exhibitors, recognised Tektronix' state-of-the-art Net-7 network monitoring system as one of the "most interesting products or technology solutions demonstrated at the ITS." One of 19 products nominated for the award, the Net-7 system is a signalling network monitoring system that enables network operators to optimise quality of service while controlling costs and driving revenue. It can be used to monitor call quality, detect fraud, and monitor value-added services. The system allows network operators to increase maintenance efficiency through centralised operations, and enables fast, accurate troubleshooting and planning.
