Denver Technical Products is offering the DS 3 series of current operated switches manufactured by NK Technologies. The units combine a Hall Effect sensor, signal conditioner and a limit alarm into a single package. They feature a compact one-piece design, input isolation, and hysteresis 5% of set point allowing closer control than fixed hysteresis switches.
The DS3 series offers three jumperselectable current ranges (4–100 A) and frequency response from DC to 400 Hz. Example of applications include field loss protection on large DC motors, over-current indication on power supplies, status of equipment motors, lamps and other loads, as well as battery output monitoring at telecom sites.
