The XRP2524 is Exar’s new dual-channel power distribution switch optimised for USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 applications and capable of 1,0 A of continuous load current. Pin compatible USB3.0 upgrade to Exar’s SP2526A-1-L.
The device is designed for self- or bus-powered USB applications and provides an active-high enable pin, integrated soft start and a blanked error flag indicating a fault condition. It comes in a compact NOIC-8 package.
The IC supports a 2,7 V to 6,5 V input voltage range and features integrated under-voltage lockout, reverse current, short circuit and thermal shutdown protection.
