Syfer recently released a new range of large sized high-voltage X7R multilayer chip capacitors (MLCCs). The first parts available in the StackiCap family are in 1812 and 2220 case sizes, with 200 V to 1,5 kV and 200 to 2 kV operating voltage ranges respectively.
Of particular note is the 2220 size, 500 V device which features 1 μF capacitance in a single chip. The 2 kV part also features an impressive 100 nF capacitance. Meanwhile, in the 1812 range, the 200 V part also features 1 μF capacitance while the 1 kV device features 180 nF.
Typical applications include power supplies, projector modules, lighting systems and throughout the aerospace sector.
