iSYSTEM offers new support for ARM's 32-bit microprocessor cores. The ARM9 iCARD interfaces to the target on-chip firmware via JTAG and supports 5 V down to 1,8 V technology. It provides a new 20-pin JTAG connector to support the extra features, and an adapter to connect the 20-pin to the existing 14-pin target connector is included. Currently, ARM9TDMI processors are supported.
Internal and external flash can be programmed via JTAG interface. Additionally, fast monitor flash programming is available for internal and external flash. 2 KB of monitor can reside anywhere in the RAM memory.
The ARM9 iCARD can be plugged into the compact iC3000 active emulator and iC4000 emulator. Standard RS232, LPT (iC4000 only), USB and Ethernet interfaces are available. All iSYSTEM's emulators are driven by winIDEA, an easy-to-use integrated development environment. winIDEA runs on Windows NT4.0/200095/98.
Beside a powerful debugger, winIDEA includes project manager and build manager where ARM, Green Hills and IAR compilers can be integrated, thus allowing one to write, download, debug and edit user's code from a single user's interface.
