Recom’s round-shaped mini power supply RAC03-SCR/277 can be used wherever DC voltage is needed to power components of home automation, security or communication technology and to eliminate the need for external power supplies.
Voted by readers of the German magazine Elektronik as being the third best innovation for 2013, the 3 W power supplies were designed in the shape of an ultra-flat disk and can be easily mounted within wall boxes behind switch plates or dimmers, and need less space than is normally needed for wires or clamps.
There are four different versions available with 3,3 V, 5 V, 12 V or 24 V outputs. Their wide input voltage ranges from 85 to 305 V a.c. which makes them suitable for worldwide use.
The power supplies have isolation from input to output of up to 3 kV a.c. and can operate reliably at temperatures up to 85°C with efficiency of up to 78%. They have standby power consumption of 40 mW and therefore consume less than a 10th of the requirements of the EuP Directive. The RAC03-SCR series is CE marked and UL certified, and is offered with a 3-year warranty.
