Mean Well has launched the GC330 series of battery charger modules featuring no-load power consumption below 1 W and efficiency up to 93,5%.
Featuring 2-stage fast charging characteristics, they are suitable for various battery chemistries, including lead-acid, lithium-manganese (LiMnO2), lithium-ferrum (LiFePO4), sealed lead-acid gel and more.
Featuring 90–264 V a.c. full range input, the 326 W chargers have a 2-stage charging curve (constant current and constant voltage) and can monitor the battery capacity by detecting the battery voltage. The device can quickly charge the battery at constant current mode in a low battery capacity status. Then, when the battery bank becomes full, the charger can automatically change to constant voltage mode with slight charging current to avoid lifetime reduction caused by over-charging.
Using the standard IEC320-C14 inlet as the input connector, the GC330 is equipped with an earth ground pin and enclosed in a UL 94V-0 rated plastic case. These Class I units can effectively prevent users from electrical shock and are especially suitable for charging electric scooters, electric bikes and electric wheelchairs.
Standard function includes charging current auto-derating, 2-colour LED indicator for charging status, and short circuit, over-voltage and over-temperature protections. They have global safety certificates per UL, CUL, TUV, CB, FCC and CE.
