AC-DC power adaptors

10 July 2013 Power Electronics / Power Management

Mean Well has expanded its ‘green’ AC-DC adaptor line with the introduction of new 280 W single-output models. The GS280 series complies with international energy regulations and features no-load power consumption below 0,5 W and efficiency up to 94%.

The adaptors accept universal input voltages in the range of 90–264 V a.c. at their IEC320-C14 inlet. They implement power factor correction and their efficiency allows them to be convection cooled in temperatures between -30°C and

+60°C. With an earth pin and enclosed in a UL 94V-0 rated plastic case, these Class I units can effectively protect users from electrical shock.

With an output voltage range from 12 to 48 V, the units meet the requirements of various electronic equipment. Other standard functions include an LED indicator and protection against short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature.

The GS280 series carries global safety EMC certificates to guarantee their safety and reliability for applications such as POS systems, commercial electronic equipment, industrial equipment or any other instruments that require low noise in a fanless design.
