True RMS multimeter and oscilloscope

24 July 2013 Test & Measurement

The new Major Tech MT1009 true RMS multi-meter and oscilloscope features a TFT colour LCD display, fast A/D conversion sampling time, high accuracy, built-in datalogging (10 000 digits) and trend capture features.

With a large 50 000 count display, multiple sets of measurement information can be displayed simultaneously, while the trend capture function allows users to review logged data in a graph mode without using a PC. Low-pass filter can precisely measure the electronic signal-to-noise equipment voltage and frequency. The peak capture function records transient signals as fast as 250 μs.

The 10 MHz oscilloscope measures and displays AC/DC voltage waveforms and output signals from various sources. Added features include a movable cursor for precise measurement of frequency and cycle waveform loads, and the ability to record 10 pages of data, suitable for serial encoded signal observation and measurement. A single-button automatic search function is able to search the input waveform and FFT display function. Colour setup is available to suit the user’s preference.

All data can be transferred via Bluetooth to a PC, where paperless data processing and report generation can be performed with the aid of multifunctional application software. Using the Meterbox smartphone software and cloud services, measured data can be transmitted via Bluetooth to an Android smartphone.

The MT1009 complies with safety standards IEC1010 Cat IV 600 V and is housed in a double moulded rubber casing with an IP67 waterproof design. The meter measures AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, capacitance, frequency (electrical and electronic), duty cycle, diode test, continuity and thermocouple temperature.
