Mean Well’s new SDR-75 series of 75 W DIN-rail power supplies has a slim design of 32 mm in width, saving space on the rail and making it 41% smaller than its predecessor model DR-75. It also boosts efficiency by 9–12,5% and extends the working temperature range to cover -30°C to +70°C.
The units feature with universal AC input voltage range (88–264 V) and possess up to 90% efficiency so they can be cooled by free air convection from -30°C to +55°C or +60°C ambient temperature under full load condition, and even up to +70°C by suitable derating.
The SDR-75 series has 150% peak load capability and comes with overload protection in the form of constant current limiting and delay shutdown. Other standard functions include a front panel LED indicator, front panel DC voltage adjustment, as well as protection against short circuit, overload (constant current mode), over-voltage and over-temperature.
The power supplies comply with UL, CUL, CB, TUV and CE certificates and also meet heavy industrial EMC requirements per EN61000-6-2. Suitable applications include industrial control systems, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation, electromechanical applications, and any installations with fanless or low noise requirements.
