Enclosure system to keep dust out of PC equipment

Since its launch two years ago, Clean-Cab dust-free computer and monitor enclosures have been supplied to many South African industries, and the results speak for themselves, according to local distributor, DrakEng Technologies. Clean-Cab is an enclosure system which keeps dust out of PC equipment - without fans and filters requiring expensive periodic maintenance.
Clean-Cab allows one to deploy conventional office PCs in harsh industrial environments, offering superior protection against dust, mildly corrosive atmospheres, mechanical damage and theft - reducing equipment maintenance to virtually zero.
Constructed from powder-coated mild steel, the enclosures are re-usable due to the unique configurable method of providing for peripheral cable entry and exit. When upgrading computer hardware, if necessary, the peripheral cable plates are simply changed, says the company. DrakEng provides a wide range of peripheral cable combinations (ie serial ports, printers, keyboards, mice, monitors and networks).
When computers housed in a Clean-Cab are upgraded, the old machines can be deployed elsewhere in an organisation without time-consuming cleaning and/or refurbishment, increasing the life of the user's capital assets.
Users include feed milling, mining, paper manufacture, chemicals and cement batching industries.
