Boxes are its business

Plastic Converter Industries has been in existence in South Africa since 1972, initially trading as injection moulders and toolmakers. In 1997, the company sold off its entire business enterprise save for the moulds it owned for manufacturing plastic enclosures for the electronic and electrical industries. Since then, the company has made a variety of moulds to increase its range and now has a range of over 60 different locally made enclosures. In addition to this, it also has an extensive range of almost 120 plastic and die-cast enclosures imported both from Europe and the East.

With no interests other than enclosures, the owners confidently believe that there is no-one in South Africa who can offer as large a range.

While the standard colours are black, white and grey, Plastic Converter Industries says it is relatively easy to mould the enclosures in different colours and with special material to meet specific needs. The company owns a modern toolroom and is accordingly prepared to tool up for special enclosures since, as it says, 'Boxes are our business.'
