Erni has expanded its M12 circular connector lineup with a new model which specifically targets the sensor industry, where mostly a single male connector is used for a device. The solder pins are shaped with a right angle bend so that the connector is mounted along the same plane as the printed circuit board to which it is attached, allowing axial mounting of the final assembled board into the sensor pipe.
To save costs and ensure high quality levels, the connector can be fully handled within a standard SMT assembly line. It is extremely short at 14 mm in length and comes with a 360° shield ring option which makes contact with the sensor pipe. The connector has integrated PCB support points designed for the three most common board thicknesses of 2,0 mm, 1,6 mm and 1,0 mm (other thicknesses can also be accommodated).
