DuraLabel offers industrial-grade, self-laminating wire wraps for wire marking. The wraps become a durable band when wrapped around a strand or cable and communicate wire function with bright, standardised colours. For new installations, DuraLabel’s shrink tubing shrinks rapidly around open terminal ends with the aid of a heat gun for long lasting identification in almost any environment.
The printed wire markers are an excellent solution in situations where non-standard wire colours are used. Each wire can be printed with a custom number and additional identification information.
Wire marking standards are becoming more harmonised worldwide. In recent years, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has been working to bring greater uniformity to electrical installations in buildings. The IEC 60364 standard has been adopted locally and is now being used in many other regions. Individual companies are applying some of the international standards to new constructions, providing lasting identification in harsh industrial environments.
