IP rated all-metal AC fans

Circuit & System Protection
Orion Fans has expanded its offering of IP55- and IP56-rated all-metal fans, satisfying size, power and compatibility issues for design engineers.
The new fans feature a dual ball bearing design, impedance and thermal protected motors, aluminium die-cast frames and metal alloy impellers for longer L10 life spans of up to 65 000 hours.
The cooling solutions are ideal for military, chemical, process control and industrial applications. Because plastic fan blades can be susceptible to severe conditions such as high temperatures or compounds that can degrade the plastic impellers, metal fan blades are preferred in harsh environment applications for their durability.
Available with lead wire or terminal connections, the all-metal fans have an operating temperature range of -30°C to 80°C. They all produce airflows of 18 CFM to 1130 CFM in packages ranging from 80 x 38 mm to 280 x 80 mm, with voltages ranging from 12 V to 480 V a.c. Dual voltages and dual speed options are also available.
