Two of Sunon’s new products were recognised with wins in the 22nd annual Taiwan Excellence Awards: the high-lumen LED MR16 lamp active cooling modules series and dustproof, waterproof, IP68 cooling fan.
Since 1996, over 40 products have received special honours, including the Taiwan Excellence Awards, Taiwan Excellence Golden Awards and Silver Awards.
The selection committee for the awards, consisting of 91 members from the academic community and research organisations at home and abroad, singled out the IP58 fan for its innovative motor protection technology. It incorporates a high-efficiency cooling design to create a cooling product that runs nonstop in all weather under rigorous conditions. It has become a popular cooling solution for solar inverters, telecommunications networks and communication industry equipments.
Sunon also received special attention towards the end of last year for its ‘Portable Device Breathe Solution'. Premiering at the P&T/Expo Comm China in Beijing, the fan enables thermal regulation of smartphones and tablet PCs.
By combining a smart fan and air flow optimisation, this device adjusts temperatures automatically, like the human body, through automatic control to effectively reduce temperature. This increases efficiency in smartphone and tablet PC by preventing overheating problems, as well as mitigating the risk of burns.
The ‘Smartphone Breathe Case’ was available to visitors to experience an ultra silent cooling design. According to Sunon, a total of 286 visitors came to its booth and the technology was well recognised by top mobile phone brands like Samsung, Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE, Nokia, Ericsson and Coolpad.
